“Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn’t have it in the beginning.” – Ghandi
What a eventful last 7 months!
- No work!
- One of my big dreams shattered!
- Almost losing my house, because I had not paid rent for 6 months!
- Almost dieing because I don’t have health care!
- and my ex is on cocaine!
I’ve been through hell the last 7 months, that is if you looking in from the outside! In truth I had one or two rough days, but generally it was been great. Somethings genuinely can’t be measure, like having my boys 80% of the time the last 7 months, they kept me alive, they kept me dreaming, they made me smile everyday!
Things have turned and some have changed but the ultimate goal of my boys happiness is still on track, because some times its not about money, good schools or anything other than spending quality time with your children. I will always be grateful for my boys, they give me the courage to stand up ever morning and be greatful and dream
The goals over the short term is:
- Make a successful business using Google Apps
- Create a social network for schools
- Create a Labor Consultant business
- Create a online Adult Dating site
- Get Miguel back into Hilton!
If you don’t dream, you will not succeed…
Fishing with the boys … 27 August, 2007

Saturday was not one of my better days, I had to say goodbye to Lady Luck before she went off to London, it was a sad moment & I didn’t quite know how to do it. I mean I knew the lady for a week. The amazing part was that I got very close to her, we shared some very personal things, which made our relationship very special in my eyes.
So I did the next best thing I took the boys fly fishing on Sunday & made them a promise if we catch any trout we will go to aunty Mandy for lunch & she will cook the trout for us, the first one to catch a fish will have the honour of being called “SIR” for the day by the other two.
We arrived at our destination at about 8am – 8:30am and made our first cast at only 9:30am, don’t ask everything went wrong getting the tackle together. My mind was on a sexy Lady Luck in red.
The fishing was the same as always, everybody caught except my two, which is not a bad thing if you think that it cost R60 a KG! Miguel’s casting was improving & Romario was still battling a little bit with a long cast. I got some time to day dream about the special moments I share with Lady Luck.
So as a good dad I started to help the boys with their casting & I casted two long once for Romario, the second cast is what started it all. I caught one the first / second in 2 years!!! I had to make a quick call to Mandy & hope and pray she would accommodate us!!! The great lady she is, we quickly arranged everything, and the only problem was I needed more fish!!! Within an hour we caught another 4, 3 by me & 1 by Miguel.
Mandy made a great supper with a recipe of the internet:
One rainbow trout, a wedge of peach, a wedge of lemon, sprig of thyme, six or seven blueberries, a wedge of inner red onion, a plum, three sheets of newspaper, mixed leaves, ciabatta and olive oil.
METHOD: Clean and gut the trout, then arrange the stuffing ingredients in the colour order of the rainbow and put them in the trout. Wrap the trout in newspaper and soak in cold water. Place the trout on the barbecue and cook until the paper is dry. Unwrap the newspaper carefully to leave you with a clear, colourful trout stuffed with a sweet-and-sour filling.
Sounds great & it tasted incredible, thx Mandy you a star.
